The girls junior varsity remain undefeated, moving their record to 3-0-1 last week. On Wednesday they tied Troy 1-1, following up that game with a 3-2 victory over Springboro.
The girls reserve team split their two games last week, defeating Centerville 3-0, and falling to Alter 1-0. Their record is now 2-1-0.
The girls junior varsity team has opened their season with two straight victories, outscoring their opponents seven goals to none. They began the season with a 3-0 victory over Xenia and followed that up with a 4-0 victory over St. Francis De Sales.
The girls reserve team opened their season last night with a 3-0 defeat of Carroll.
On Saturday, the Beavercreek girls varsity improved their record to 2-0, defeating St. Francis DeSales 2-0, avenging last year’s loss in Columbus.
A competitive first half resulted in no scoring and the girls went to the break tied 0-0.The Beavers were able to finally break into the scoring column early in the second half when Natalie Sedlock found the back of the net. This first goal was followed soon after by a goal from Ashley Howard, with the assist going to Erin Gill.
Excellent defensive play from Casey Darding, Ashley Howard, Maddie McKinney, and Ketherine Mattingly, along with a late-match deflection of a certain goal by Kassie Gross. enabled the Beavers to preserve the shutout.

The girls will be in action this Wednesday, when they host Troy. Junior varsity action begins at 5:30, with the varsity to follow.
The Beavercreek girls varsity opened their regular season at Xenia on Wednesday night. Freshman forward Lexie Ulrich scored the first goal of the season and the first goal of her high school career to put the Beavers up 1-0 at the half. The Buccaneers tied the match early in the second half, but that just seemed to fire up our eleven.
Micaela Powers huge throw-in found the front of the goal, where Natalie Sedlock directed it past the keeper, putting the Beavers up, 2-1. Moments later, Natalie Sedlock was fouled in the box, leading to a penalty kick goal from Micaela Powers, extending the lead to 3-1. The scoring was closed out when Lexie Ulrich found Erin Gill racing through the box to make the final tally 4-1.

Make sure to come out to Frank Zink field today for an exciting triple-header. The girls host Columbus Desales, while the boys host St. Charles Prep. The girls junior varsity start the festivities at 1:oo. The girls varsity plays at 2:45. The boys varsity are scheduled to begin play at 5:00. You can also catch the boys junior varsity at 3:00 at the Ankeney Soccer Complex.
The Beavercreek boys varsity soccer team hosted the Xenia Buccaneers on Tuesday evening. Led by Matt Carnes’ two goals, the Beavers prevailed, 3-0. Zack Walker also tallied a goal, while John-Morgan Henkle contributed an assist. Alex Gill’s five saves in goal helped the defense preserve the shutout.
The next game for the boys will be Saturday (5:00 PM), when they host St. Charles Prep from Columbus.
